Job Description:

Responsibilities: Linguists will work a variety of functions including but not limited to translation, gisting, triage and quality control in a variety of locations.  Linguist must be able to Write, read, and speak fluently in Chinese Cantonese, Chinese Mandarin, and English; Translate general and technical material to and from Chinese and English;  Maintain the integrity and meaning of the material; Write reports, such as a gist, summary, transcript or full translation in the time allotted; Must be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel) and using a computer and devices; Must achieve a minimum test score of 3 for each test in the Chinese Cantonese and Mandarin and English.

Guidelines on Residence/Travel: OCONUS extended deployments are expected for a select number of linguists. However, most linguists will remain in the states and will only travel OCONUS very infrequently, if at all; approximately 5 percent per year (2 weeks/year) at most.
